Time and again the ensemble „anima inventrix berlin“ searches for a scope in the area of tension between music, texts and scene – in a diverting presence it juggles with poetic enchantment and discerning distance – with enterprising programs and unique team compositions it sounds the depth - to elicit resonances and contrasts of music and words.
Christian Knudsen,
Christian Knudsen was born in List on the Isle of Sylt. Doctor of philosophy. He studied theology, philosophy, pedagogics and psychology in Bochum, Bonn, Duisburg-Essen, did researches in the philosophy of Kant in Tuebingen and in medieval philosophy in Copenhagen. He is member of the Society for Medieval and Renaissance Philosophy. Main reseaches at present: the crisis of nominalism in late scholasticism and the origins of modernity, the poetical philosophies of Kafka, Rilke and Bachmann, philosophy of music, communication theory. 2000 Knudsen received a certificate in psychodrama therapy after Jakob Moreno and C.G. Jung in Munich. Since 2004 he has been lecturer for languages of classical antiquity, the history of philosophy and literature at the
Lessing-Hochschule zu Berlin. Persistent activities as a presenter, recitor and experimenter in the ensemble “anima inventrix berlin” which he founded together with Bettina Marquardt in 2000.
Bettina Marquardt
The Berlin viola player Bettina Marquardt studied with Charlotte Hampe, Stefano Passaggio and mainly with Hariolf Schlichtig. She is moreover deeply inspired by Sándor Végh and was a member of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie. After her studies she played and taught at the Conservatorio del Tolima in Colombia / Southamerica. After numerous concert tours, she is now a popular chamber musician and pedagogue successful mainly active in Berlin. She is editing forgotten chambermusic works from British composer Ethel Mary Smyth.
